Waste management in Lecco is a bit peculiar 🙂 . For this reason, we kindly ask you not to throw them away yourself. Just sort them into special bags and leave them in the apartment, and we will take care of the disposal!
Of course, if you have booked for a long stay, we will provide more detailed instructions on how to handle waste.
Recycling should be done in the following way:
- Plastic and cans
- Paper and cardboard (no dirty pizza boxes, please)
- Glass
- Organic waste
Everything else can be thrown in the undifferentiated waste.
- If you have to throw out trash during your stay, watch the video, otherwise follow the instructions we will send you at the end of your stay.
Heating in this apartment is centralized. Turning on the central unit follows the rules imposed by the Condominium and Italian law. Lecco is in Climate Zone E, which stipulates that the heating can be turned on from October 15 to April 15, for a maximum of 14 hours. According to national legal regulations and those dictated by WHO (the World Health Organization) , the ideal temperature to be kept in the home should be around 20° C, with a maximum fluctuation of 2° over or under, so that means it should be between 18° and 22° C.
Pets in this house are accepted, subject to the following conditions:
- Accepted a single animal not exceeding 10kg in size and used to being indoors
- Having paid for the extra service of 5€/day
- Prohibited to let animals climb on furniture in general (e.g. beds and/or sofas)
- Prohibited to leave the animal alone in the house
- any damage must be promptly reported, even during the stay (e.g. scratches on doors or sofas, pee on furniture,…).
The City of Lecco requires payment of the tourist tax of €1.50/person/night, for a maximum of 5 nights to be paid for each guest 14 years of age and older.
Sending data to police headquarters
In Italy there is an obligation to report guests of non-hotel facilities to the police headquarters. The house manager is responsible for collecting and verifying guest data and reporting them to the police headquarters within 24 hours for stays longer than a day and immediately for stays shorter than 24 hours.
Failure to submit data in the timeframe prescribed by law is a criminal offense.
Italian law provides that for short rentals (i.e., up to 29 nights) it is not necessary to file a rental contract; nevertheless, for greater protection and clarity between the parties Nativoo calls for the signing of a set of house rules that clarify the obligations and rights of the parties.
About 24h before check-out Nativoo will send a message containing useful information to better manage the release of the property.
These rules can be viewed at this link: www.nativoo.it/check-out
Thinking to please you, we have created a page dedicated to restaurants around the homes we manage. You can find all our suggestions HERE
Many characteristic restaurants, such as Crotti, can be found on Lake Como.

In the center of Lecco, within easy walking distance, you will find plenty of stores to satisfy all your tastes, from ice cream parlors to bookstores to jewelry stores to accessory and clothing stores.
We suggest you consider, in no particular order:

- Visit to the village of Pescarenico
- Hiking and Trekking at the Monte Resegone
- Excursions on Monte Barro
- Hiking on the Piani d’Erna
- Walk to Monte San Martino
- Visit to the Basilica of St. Nicolò
